The Antioch Podcast is a weekly recorded conversation among a multiracial team of Christian antiracism educators and friends. Biblical antiracism is the starting point for all our conversations, which inevitably include a healthy dose of laughter, thoughtfulness, vulnerability and theology.

Our hope is that our conversations model the kinds of conversation faith communities and communities which desire to be inclusive need to learn to have in order to become the beloved community that seeks the flourishing of all God’s children. For communities to do this, we need to learn to talk about race without awkwardness or defensiveness, which is why so many of these conversation never even begin. The Antioch Podcast models how to have these kinds of conversations.

We also agree on which topics to pursue, but we do not always share the same perspectives. We do not plan our responses in advance. Some days we are up for the conversation and sometimes we struggle. Sometimes we share our feelings and other times we guard them. Our hope is that in sharing our struggles and feelings that it will help our listeners to share their own.

Challenging & Deepening Faith in Community

The Antioch Podcast is a weekly recorded conversation among a multiracial team of Christian antiracism educators and friends.  Biblical Antiracism is THE starting point for all these conversations, which inevitably include a healthy dose of laughter, thoughtfulness, vulnerability and theology.

The Antioch Podcast provides space for reflection on the intersection of faith, race, and justice. Rather than simply be self-reflective, as friends, we are choosing to engage “the conversation” within community. Our hope is that our listeners will seek to have their own conversations in community.
